Stephanie's June Blog

So it’s officially winter here in Australia and I think it’s going to be a cold one – we’ve already had snow on the outskirts of Melbourne which is uncommon this early, and good falls already on our ski slopes – and all that before winter had officially begun! Meanwhile I’ve escaped the dreary weather for a few days and high-tailed it to a warm sunny Pacific island for some much needed relaxation – taking along my manuscript for the second novel in my upcoming series and a whole slew of ebooks to while away the hours.

Meanwhile…your wait is officially over – A Match for Marcus Cynster has by now hit the shelves, in print, ebook and audio! I am so pleased to be able to share with you the next installment of the Cynster Next Generation Novels. I hope you’re able to get your hands on a copy soon and indulge.

For those who have yet to snag their copy, please click here for details on buying the novel in your preferred format. Early reviews suggest this one, too, has hit the mark.

Now that the book has been released, I’m thrilled to be able to give you access to an interview I did a little while ago on the novel. I’ve had to hold it back until now as it carried a few too many hints! To access the interview, click here.

And finally we’re able to share the cover and stepback for the mass-market paperback edition of BY WINTER’S LIGHT, to be released on September 29, 2015. So for those who have waited for this edition, there’s not long to go! Click here to check out the new cover and stepback.

My publisher wanted to really wow you all with the Cynster Family Tree Poster, and so they did the right thing - they hired one of the iconic, most celebrated artists who specializes in maps and family trees to do the poster. Lovely! But the one thing my publisher didn’t quite appreciate was that this artist is a) old; b) set in his ways; and c) works to his own schedule, not theirs, as celebrated artists are wont to do. The poster will be completely hand-drawn and lettered entirely by hand. It will be printed on parchment and eminently framable. It will be precisely what we all want it to be. When it eventually comes. The number of deadlines already passed are numerous, but this is one of those situations when, sadly, we all simply have to wait. Trust me when I say we are waiting right there along with you! This is still ongoing; all we can say is that we’re waiting on the artist. More as soon as we hear (anything!).

While you enjoy A MATCH FOR MARCUS CYNSTER, my world is gearing up for the beginning of my new series, THE ADVENTURERS QUARTET. I can now share a little more about this series, which started life as a spin-off from a pair of minor characters encountered in The Lady Risks All, but takes a dive into adventure-romance – think Errol Flynn in his buccaneer incarnation! Thus, THE ADVENTURERS QUARTET is a thrilling blend of Regency-Era high-seas adventure, wrapped around a mystery shrouded in the heat of tropical jungles, all laced with the passionate romances of four couples and their unexpected journeys into love. To find out more about the series in general, click on the series title above or below.

THE ADVENTURERS QUARTET commences with THE LADY'S COMMAND, due to be released on December 29, 2015. Click on the book title above to reveal the description. As for the cover...that’s yet to come. Lots more yet to be revealed!

So…What’s up next?

September 29, 2015 - mass market paperback edition of BY WINTER’S LIGHT.

December 29, 2015 - The first installment of THE ADVENTURERS QUARTET, THE LADY'S COMMAND. Meet Captain Declan Frobisher and Lady Edwina nee Delbraith and follow them on their journey of discovery into love, marriage, and a secret mission to uncover a dastardly plot.

And then?

2016 will bring you the second, third and final installment of THE ADVENTURERS QUARTET.

2017 will also bring 3 more Cynster novels, and after reading By Winter's Light The Tempting of Thomas Carrick, and A Match for Marcus Cynster, you’ll be able to guess which three Cynsters will get their romances next. Yes, those three - 2017 will be a very big year!

2018 will bring the next three Casebook of Barnaby Adair novels. I’m not completely certain which characters will feature, but you will have met those who have their romance in each book before.

And there’s many more stories on my TBW (to be written) List to follow after that. In short, there are lots more books coming your way.

Hi Dottie,

Yes I will be definitely signing Marcus's book at the Literacy signing this year! You do need to purchase the book at the event in order to get it signed, however all proceeds go towards The Literacy charity, and books are donated by the publisher.

I hope to see you there!

Best Wishes, Stephanie.

Bklyn Will we see more interaction between the younger generations of the Bastions, Black Cobra and Cynster offspring? Seems you would expect them to have come together with the shared adventures of their parents.

Hi - the above is more than likely to be the case. That's really all I can say at the moment, but it would certainly be the case that there will be significant overlap in them knowing each other.

Best wishes, Stephanie.
