May's Writing Progress
I've been putting this post off for a while, but we've reached the last day of May. Last Sunday, I finally got the audiobook of
The Accidental Dragonrider
into a state where I was happy with it, and submitted it to the distributor. I'd hoped to be able to announce it was on sale before the end of this month, but as of a few minutes ago, it's still pending review there. So, watch this space (or listen to it!).
With Dragonrider out of the way (or out of my hands, at any rate), I should be able to pick up the pace on Stone & Silence again. I've written 6,000 words of it this month, so the first draft now stands at just over 80,000 words.

The audiobook got rejected :-( mainly because of "low RMS". Basically that means it's too quiet. (If you've ever heard me speaking in person, that won't be a surprise.) I'm now seeing whether I can make it acceptably loud without also making the background too noisy. If not, I'll just have to re-record with a better mic...

I finished making the book louder and resubmitted it last night. Fingers crossed they accept it this time...
