Creative Time & Space--Let's Get Started on Yours!

I've been thinking a lot about this, about how I can help you make the changes in 2011 that will open up a whole new world of creativity. On the one hand, I believe that if everyone would get a copy of  Creative Time and Space  and read it cover to cover AND follow all the advice and tips and recommendations in it, that would pretty much take care of it right there. They would be well on their way, indeed.

On the other hand, I know this isn't going to happen. Not for everyone. Because lots of people *want* to make the changes necessary for making their lives more the way they'd like them to be, but they just can't take that first step. They can't make the first little change that will lead to other changes and revelations and new ways of thinking about what it is that you really want to do with your one marvelous life. So, in 2011, I'm going to help you. I haven't gotten it all figured out yet, but I'm working on it, and I'm having a blast brainstorming ideas with Moe. If you read the tweets, you were probably scratching your head and worrying about me the other day when I was doing this, brainstorming with my cat. But it turns out he has EXCELLENT ideas.
Anyway, to get us started, I've done a video review of the book (because I had to do it anyway and figured I'd just make it a little longer and more fun). It gives you a peek inside the pages, which is always nice. You're scoffing and going, "She just wants us to buy the book." Of COURSE I want you to buy the book! If I didn't think it was a wonderful and supremely useful book, I wouldn't have bothered to do it. I'd have done something else in those months. But even if you're not going to go book shopping, you'll like the movie. Because it has more Tom Braxton music, for one thing~~and for another thing, I wanted to show people who think it's a book that's only about arranging your studio space and making organizational lists that, by "time" and "space," I mean a whole lot more than just the physical stuff you can measure.
Here's the video:
Then, as a little jumpstart (and because I wanted to figure out how to do PDF's and make them available online, and although this method is not making me sing in delight, at least I made it work and can now go on and figure out another, better, happier way to do it), you can click here to print a copy of the worksheet. What you're going to do with this after you print it is to think about all the things you do during the day, from mundane stuff to your day job to household chores, and you're going to think about those and figure out which column they go into and put them there. We'll do more with it later--right now, you're just going to put things in categories. You might want to print off several pages, depending on how serious you want to be about this.
Are you ready? 2011 is going to be fabulous~~I can feel it. The new website is going to launch, there's going to be this wonderful community of like-minded creative people sharing ideas and inspiration. What better time to work on your creative life?
Let's get started~~
