far away from my wasteland

i’m okay

After a tremendously stressful week — which is strange to say, because I really was having a fantastic time doing the work I was doing — I had a couple of days completely away from everything, with just my wife and our friends, who we don’t see nearly enough.

It totally did not suck, and it’s a reminder that I need to take the occasional Mental Health Days For Wil, slow down a little bit, and actually enjoy the things I get to do because of the work that I get to do. I should remember that, because I tend to forget it, like, all the time.

Gina Kranz Yes! We tend to forget the real reasons we work so hard! It should be mandatory (mental health days!) they're as important as physical health! Don't forget! Make it a priority!

kimberly it's so weird how mental health days become so necessary as we get older. why is it so hard to remember something that used to be innate as children?

Denean Mental health days should be mandatory. I find that I am a much better person when I take at least one mental health day a week.

Rosie Umstattd Mental health days are so good for all ages. I think even kids in school should be able to take them as there is so much stress and expectation put upon them from K -on. I can't even begin to understand how college-bound and college-in kids cope with spending half of their time filling out forms and jumping through hoops trying to find money to pay for the next semester! Its' no wonder they don't want to pay those loans back! Sure ain't like it used to be, but then, what is?
