Waiting Room

I sat alone in a room with small chance of a visitor
Didn’t matter how long you might be gone
I knew that somehow you would remember me
Thought I left an impression that would stand out
As the days grew longer, the weight greater
I saw out a window, a happiest version of you
With the freedom to indulge every want
No thought of where you went wrong
Only revisiting the extremities of your lust
And singing your own majesty’s song
Knowing then, the wait would go on
Until every last drop might be...
