“I hope you never doubt me for a second when I say that you are NOT someone that people forget about easily. That’s how I know none of these guys were right for you. You’re this short little VAST body of love and you feel sad and forgotten because none of them have ever touched the bottom of the well in you. It’s true. I know it is. You are an eternity. You’re the kind of woman that people will learn to write poetry for. I know that. I see that and I believe that. It’s okay if you aren’t loving yourself well enough right now. I’m not either. But I know things. I feel things. I hold my own hand anyway and I’ll hold yours. Maybe these stories, these guys who didn’t stay are pointing you right towards a door that will never take you back to people like them. I hope that. You’re it. Someone—more than one, is going to come along, right? And they’re going to have no fucking clue what to do with you. All they’re gonna know is that they want to stay forever.”
