Bake, Darius and Devin
Bake climbed out of his truck and dragged his ass inside.
Whose stupid idea had it been to accept jobs setting up people's Christmas lights and shit? Oh yeah, his.
Which meant he and Bean had been working double time just to keep up ever since Thanksgiving and he was, quite frankly, feeling less than festive at this point. In fact if he never saw another Christmas light... He ignored the fifty-million watt display Devin had talked him into at the beginning of December lighting up their front yard.
He let himself in and was hit by the most amazing smell -- sugar and dough and god knew what else assaulted him and he literally groaned in delight as his mouth started watering. He heard laughter and music, his boys singing together, playing. Suddenly his aches melted away and his mood improved a hundred fold.
He headed toward the kitchen where the noise and obvious warmth were coming from.
Two beautiful boys turned to him, smiling, laughing, loving him, and two sets of arms drew him in. "Bake! Welcome home!"
Oh.
Oh, hell yeah.
Welcome home.
