The End is in Sight!
Hello everyone from the Three Moons Realm. Been a bit since my last update but I've been hard at work on book three of the Bound to the Abyss series.
Last night I finished up chapter 32 (sitting at almost 100,000 words) of the new book which placed me at a good point to get a read for approximately how many chapters I have left to write. Barring any chapters that I might have to split up, it looks like the book will contain 39 chapters and an epilogue.
For those that were a little put off by how BttA 1 felt like only half of a story with BttA 2 finishing the story arc, nothing to worry about here! BttA 3 has a beginning, middle, and end (although its far from THE end of Ean's story), and things are wrapped up completely. Of course, there will be things that will tie into BttA 4, but we're getting ahead of ourselves.
Since I have the end in sight AND am still hoping to release it by the end of the summer, I've started the fine tuning process even though I havn't finished the actual story. I've already sent off the first few chapters to my favorite beta reader who will let me know her thoughts on the overall story and catch any plot holes I might have missed. After receiving her feedback, the chapters then go off to my critique partner who gets to rip it apart, beat me down with the mistakes I've made, and help fine tune the story so it is both enjoyable and a better read. Then, to finish things off, its off to my editor to fix all of the little grammatical mistakes and help refine the story further. As you can see, its a long process which is why I'm getting it started now.
