Stuck without gas
There are a few things people can do when they are stuck without gas. The first step, however, is to take a step back. Just about every person over thirteen have a cell phone. It is important to make sure the cell phone is fully charged before getting in the car. In the event of not having gas, people can call a towing company or a relative to come and get them.
Empty Gas Container
The next thing people should do is get an empty gas container; it is wise to keep one of these containers in the car at all times. If people are lucky, they can find one of these containers on the side of the road. Once an individual has this container in his/her possession, he/she can walks to the nearest gas station. Gas stations will allow people to fill-up the empty container as if filling up a gas tank. The individual can then walk back to the car and pour the gas into the tank.
Some people, however, do not have any type of empty container. In this situation, it would be best to flag people down until someone stops. Hopefully, the person that has stopped will have an empty container. In this situation, on an average, five people will stop every hour. Someone will have an empty container sooner or later.
Push! Push! Push!
Without having a phone or an empty gas container, the final result will have to be to push the car to the gas station. Some strong people can do this by themselves. Others, hopefully, will have someone else in the car with them. If no one else is in the car, it’s back to flagging people down until someone will help push the car. This is also contagious; once one person helps, another and another will come and help, too.
Conclusion
The overall strategy is to do everything not to get stuck without gas. This is very hard to do in this fast society, especially when people have to be at places by a certain time. People should also develop a plan in case they are stuck in this situation. Individuals that have a plan end up coming out of the situation sooner than people without a plan. Individuals with a plan will also be more relaxed in this situation.
