I am sorry, don’t get the misogyny thing at all. You clearly like other women in Sherlock. Not liking Mary isn’t misogynistic. It’s personal TO HER and for good reason. And I of course agree with you. ;)

Thanks, you!! The accusations-of-misogyny is an old, tired line that the Mary apologists like to bring out whenever anyone dares criticise Mary for being who she canonically is, or for calling her a villain, even in admiring tones. To me it’s every bit as damaging to LIKE a person strictly on the basis of things like gender/race/orientation/age/whatever else, as it is to discriminate against them for those things. Equality means judging every person based on who they actually are and how they behave without using these categorisations as filters or excuses, whether positive or negative. If we say that all female characters must be loved simply because they’re women, that takes as much away from the agency of a woman to make her own choices in terms of right and wrong, legal and illegal, moral and immoral. We don’t give all women a carte blanche on behaviour strictly because they’re women. When will people get this???
