Hello love! Can I ask you a question? Hope I'm not being annoying or intrusive. I've just realised, in all your stories (or most of them) you write Sherlock as a virgin. Is there a particular reason for that? or it's just because it was implied in the seri

Hello! Yeah, of course you can ask! You’re right: of my 45 stories so far (there are 46 on ao3 but one is Freebatch), Sherlock is a virgin in 42 (the two exceptions are in Table For One & Table For Two, which are the same universe). The reason is that I consider it canon, based on Mycroft’s comment in ASIB. My feeling is that Mycroft would indeed know if it were otherwise. We also know for a fact, thanks to Moffat, that nothing happened with Irene (despite Benedict’s headcanon about that) and we know from Janine’s own lips that nothing happened between them. So, yeah: canon. In my interpretation, at any rate. I’m fine with other people writing what they want, but in my view, Sherlock has always been disinterested/not willing to deal with the personal entanglements of sex (not asexual, just focused on other things and lacking in social skills on top of it) and that John has always been bisexual but has never acted on it (or possibly realised it overtly) before Sherlock.

You’re so welcome - thank YOU for reading my stuff! It’s very much a symbiotic thing; I should be thanking you just as much or more!
