Lack of Purpose = Lack of Focus

"No man is born into the world whose work is not born with him." James Russell Lowell

Mother and childWe are born with a job to do and have been given the talent, virtues and circumstances needed to fulfill that role.

Our task is to uncover exactly what is our unique purpose or mission.  Part of the process is uncovering our strengths and then consciously building upon these competencies.

Once we identify our life's mission, we then become co-creators in our own life's journey.  All kinds of wonderful and exciting things happen.  We connect with people of like-mind.  Opportunities surface.  We are clear on our direction.  Time becomes our friend.

Achieving SuccessThere are golden threads that run through your life.  You've already detailed the principles you want to live by.  That is good.  The next step is to write out the specific areas in your life where you have had personal success.

Values are tightly held beliefs.  We act on our values by choice and they are important to us.  They are the types of things that people will know you by.  Here are some examples: Honest, trustworthy, eager, competent, flexible, approachable, etc.  Write out your values.

Giving back.  Consider how it is you would like to contribute to society as a whole.  Write these out.

"Money will come to you when you are doing the right things for the right reason."  Michael Phillips
