Stephanie's May Blog

I’ve just seen some lovely pictures of New York City this week – flowers are starting to bloom and it looks like the big chill has finally died off – lucky things! I’m looking forward to some hot days and summer nights in the big city in July, a welcome break from a cold winter here in Australia.

Fall has definitely set in here and it’s time to spend the days inside – I have already woken to several mornings with frost on the ground and piercing blue sky.

I’m still waiting…and waiting…for the Cynster Family Tree Poster to be finalized – I know those of you who registered for it have been waiting patiently along with me and I am being kept up to date by my publisher as to its progress. I have seen some of the work in progress and I am told it will be worth the wait! As I mentioned last month, I’ll be letting you know as soon as it’s finished.

Only twenty-six days now until A Match for Marcus Cynster finally hits the shelves! I can’t wait to share Marcus’ story with you, especially as it ties up all the loose ends that appear in The Tempting of Thomas Carrick.

I promised last month an excerpt from A MATCH FOR MARCUS CYNSTER to whet your appetite and I’m thrilled to be able to finally give you an excerpt in the lead up to the release of the novel. I’m hoping you’ve read THE TEMPTING OF THOMAS CARRICK - if you haven’t: Spoiler alert! In your own best interests, please wait until you’ve absorbed THE TEMPTING OF THOMAS CARRICK. To access the Sneak Peek Excerpt containing the first chapters from A MATCH FOR MARCUS CYNSTER, click HERE or navigate to the book description page on my website.

I’ll also take this opportunity to announce the winners from our recent Goodreads Giveway for A MATCH FOR MARCYS CYNSTER. Entries closed last week and the lucky winners will be receiving a copy in the mail shortly! Congratulations to Toni Matsuo, Steve Lee, Kevin Breuer, Hati Bell, Carly Bates, Lori Allman, Ken Gilmour, Tina Wong, John Williams and Karen Simon! If you didn’t get a chance to enter, rest assured there will be more Giveaways coming your way.

So…What’s up next?

A Match for Marcus Cynster will be released on May 26, 2015, in print, ebook, and audio editions. A longer description and pre-order links can be found on my website, along with the stepback art.

The paperback edition of By Winter's Light, the book that pivots from the preceding Cynster generation to the new one, will be released on September 29, 2015 (in the US/Canada; shortly after everywhere else). For those yet to indulge, I hope you enjoy the experience of the snowbound Cynster Scottish holidays of 1837, packed with holiday traditions of yore, the delights of multiple generations under one roof, with a dash of adventure and a gentle romance, plus the seeds of romances to come.

And then?

2016 will see the release of The Adventurers Quartet, a Regency-era adventure-romance quartet evolving from secondary characters encountered in THE LADY RISKS ALL, and also including some of your favorites from the Bastion Club and the Black Cobra novels. Think Regency buccaneers! I’m currently deep in the writing phase of this series and enjoying it immensely. More information will be coming your way over the next few months. The first volume is scheduled for release on December 29, 2015, the second volume on March 29, 2016, the third volume in the middle of the year, and the fourth and final volume will be with you in early 2017.

2017 will also bring 3 more Cynster novels, and after reading BY WINTER’S LIGHT, THE TEMPTING OF THOMAS CARRICK, and A MATCH FOR MARCUS CYNSTER, you’ll be able to guess which three Cynsters will get their romances next. Yes, those three - 2017 will be a very big year!

2018 will bring the next three Casebook of Barnaby Adair novels. I’m not completely certain which characters will feature, but you will have met those who have their romance in each book before.

And there’s many more stories on my TBW (to be written) List to follow after that. In short, there are lots more books coming your way.

If you want to keep abreast of details of what’s in the pipeline as well as being notified of my latest releases, joining my Email Newsletter List is the safest bet. It also carries links to exclusive sweepstakes and sneak peek excerpts. Click to join - it's easy!

Best Wishes,

Stephanie.

Annette Meier The Lady's Command - is that Sebastian's tale as part of the older Cynster grandchildren? I just saw a brief posting about this title, but no details.

Hi Annette, The Lady's Command is the first in a new series called The Adventurers Quartet. We haven't put out a lot of information as yet because there is a lot of focus on the Next Generation for the Cynsters. In the next month we'll be putting out some detailed information on the series so keep an eye out!

Thanks, Stephanie

Bklyn Hello Ms. Laurens, I just wanted to check something because I became a bit confused. Lady Osbaldestone's name is Therese, but in Devil's Bride I think she was called another name or did I misread.

Also, in Promise in a Kiss you speak of their sister Augusta and her being the Marchioness of Huntly and a son but there is no mention of that child or the relation, even in the family tree. Will that be revisited?

Hi Bklyn, Thanks for your comment! Lady Osbaldestone's name is definitely Therese.

At this stage I'll not be revisiting Augusta and her family as once married she is no longer a Cynster. As I haven't written about her I haven't added it to the family tree.

Thanks and Best Wishes & Happy Reading,

Stephanie.
