Schedule Changes and Life
Such a scary blog title, right? So as I’m sitting here in the sunshine and watching my flowers bloom, I am starting over on An Alpha’s Choice (Talon Pack Book 2) for the 4th time. This book is an emotional mess but I finally have it where I need to be. Finn and Brynn are at such a crossroads that its taking a lot out of me. However, I LOVE it. I still love it. That’s what matters.
I’m not behind on my deadline and everything is still coming out on time but that leads me to what’s next…
You guys know I write a lot. I LIKE writing a lot. I write fast and I have an amazing team that keeps up with me. However, in order to do that, I also have to plan ahead. A lot.
As in I know what my 2016 schedule looks like and its a little smaller than 2015…which was a little smaller than 2014. I’m trying to let my readers catch up and also learn to let my body do the same.
As I was saying, I plan ahead. This means I plot my books out 2 to 3 books ahead of time to make sure I’m ready to dive into the next book to write and enjoy it. The past month I have been trying to write out the plot for Fallen For Alphas (A Dante’s Circle Novella) and have been having issues. This book was just supposed to be a novella. It was only supposed to show a the romance between Liam, Alec, and Raven and fall outside the timeline of the main series and the seven full length novels.
Only its not happening that way. Their book is taking a life of its own and I’m enjoying seeing what the three of them can do and how they can fall in love when their world crashes around them. But I don’t have time to write that book. I don’t have time to write their full novel right now. If I were to do that, I would have to not write my next 1,001 Dark Nights story (Charlotte’s story from The Redwood and Talon Pack). I would have to push back more Montgomery Ink books and maybe mess up Alexandra Ivy’s timeline with our Branded Packs series.
All of this because these three characters want MORE than a novella.
So I’m going to give them that.
Just not now.
I love the Dante’s Circle series. My readers love it too. I plan on finishing it with one book a year as I have been doing though because I need to write what my heart wants and what my readers want more.
So Fallen For Alphas will not be released in November. I knew there was a reason I hadn’t put it up for pre-order on iBooks yet. I don’t do that until I have an outline and know I can make the deadline. I want this book to be more than a novella, it deserves that.
I will let you know when I can write their story and I hope you keep asking me about it because that means you want it LOL.
Thank you for listening to me ramble. Time to go back to the Talon Pack because they’re speaking to me.
