I thought I would do something different for my Friday Feast post, so I hope you won’t mind. There is a lot of activity in my backyard. Sparrows have nested in two of my evergreen trees, and I can already hear the peeps of the newborns in one of the trees.

The hummingbirds visit daily, so I’m constantly making their food along with the recipe below.

As most of you know, I have included all sorts of birds and animals in my books–from falcons, dogs, horses, cats, owls, a wolf...
