Some readers like the comfort of following characters they like. Sometimes they do wear out their welcome, but I am happy to say the most recent St Cyr mystery was even more enjoyable than the first books. Thanks for keeping them going!

I so appreciate your information about your next book. I feel as though I am part of the process of publishing a book, but more important is the information on the 'cover copy'. That ,hopefully, will keep me sated until WHEN FALCONS FALL is released. A whole year! Oh my, how will I make it?

Oh, please, do not misunderstand me. I read in your blog that the next book was written, but the publishers make you wait a year until they release it. I thought that book was WHEN FALCONS FALL. I am not referring to you and the rate you write each book. I am so grateful for your writing and your books. You are so very talented, and I feel as though Sebastian is a very close friend of mine. Please forgive me if I stated my feelings poorly. You are the best!

It actually does take a year for the books to make it through the publication process, for reasons I'll never understand. But the reason I only do one a year is that it seems to take me that long. I get frustrated with myself--I wish I could write faster. I spend months just THINKING. I'm only on about page 50 of what will be #12.
As a teacher who taught English, I know how important thinking is, and you must do a great job thinking as it definitely shows in your books. I remember getting frustrated, very frustrated, attempting to teach my "kids" to think and not rush into their assignments. Getting my students to think while also explaining to them that they had to organize their thoughts before putting pen to paper(Actually now it is placing fingers on keys"). I will wait, and you may think as much as you wish. Your finished products are so worth waiting for. I am sure all would agree with me.
