Random thoughts on marketing and Omega

First of all, I’m back to blogging after a long absence where I used my site for reviews/book features to help other authors!

But … time to go back to the basics in some areas while also hopping on the world domination train in others!

Random thoughts …

I was thinking about buying ads. It seems like indies/small presses would benefit from marketing co-ops. Basically, everyone chipping in to buy a huge/expensive ad. A $5k ad divided among 5-10 authors is much more reasonable than someone shelling out the full sum. Who had $5k for an ad anyway?! Seems like a marketing co-op would be something worth trying.

Working on the “Omega” marketing plan. I have a ton of different things I’d like to try with this book. Teen magazines, premier blog tour companies, booktubers, bookstagrammers, trad magazine ads, trad review sources … the list is endless. I started with purchasing paperback ARCs to hand out at conventions over the summer. I’m super excited about this!

I feel like “Omega” has insane potential, so the struggle has been figuring out how to break into the national level and identify opportunities for insane exposure. I’m talking to someone Friday who might be able to help me with this. Fingers crossed, I learn something fantastic and new!

Karen I think sharing the prequel is great advertising. I have gone and posted on Goodreads and Amazon.
I have read many of your books and am pulled into your stories and identify with your characters in a deep way.
Thank you for sharing that part of yourself.
