A Promise Kept

My Mom's dad loved to read - classics, westerns, mysteries, poetry. He was the age that I am now when I was born and he passed away when I was 15 years old. I remember promising him that I would write a book someday.

Fifty-one years later, last fall, I published "The Horse Lawyer and Other Poems" which, ironically, is more about farm life on the other side of my family. I now have two more books in the works. It took a little longer than I planned, Grandpa, but I hope you would feel it was worth the wait.
