 'Presented in conjunction with MoMA's exhibition One-Way Ticket: Jacob Lawrence's Migration Series and Other Visions of the Great Movement North , Yusef Komunyakaa reads "The Great Migration" from the Poetry Suite which includes readings of new poems written in response to Jacob Lawrence’s Migration Series from 10 highly esteemed contemporary poets, curated by poet and essayist Elizabeth Alexander . Komunyakaa is Global Distinguished Professor of English, New York University. He won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 1994. His most recent book of poetry is The Chameleon Couch (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2012).
