I got The Léger Connection back from my editor (I love her!) and have been very busy polishing book 7 to a sparkling shine. I thought you would enjoy some of the mistakes that slipped past my self-edits:
- 'Vinnie's eye were wide' - because Vinnie, the ogre he is, only has *one* eye. Hee!
- 'The corners of Lieutenant Cardoso are turned down.' - Yup, that man has corners! Should be 'corners of Lieutenant Cardoso's mouth...'
- 'She dropped her hand in her hands.' - Well, sometimes I do wish I had more hands! Should be 'head in her hands'.
- 'Weapons trafficked through Francine.' - Sounds painful. This one slips through at least once in every book. My mind thinks France and my fingers type one of their favourite character's names.
Happy weekend, everyone!! I'll be holed up with Francine and the gang, making sure everyone has two eyes, two eyebrows, one head, etc. :-)
