Hi - thank you! That cover was all acrylic paint, with some pencil crayons on top (when the paint is thick the pencils don’t apply well, so it’s a slightly iffy technique).
I always prefer the hands-on traditional media, but I think that’s more what I’m used to than anything else, and I totally agree that they’re both equally challenging and rewarding. What I do like best about working old-school, though, is how you can fill a physical space, and I love using as large a surface as possible. (Walls! Give me your walls! One time I helped Brandon do murals for a show, and they had a cherry picker to take us up to the high-ceilinged second storey. I died of happiness.)
Still, I should really push to get more in practice with the digital stuff - I liked doing the prompts, so maybe I’ll force myself to go digital on a future round of them.
