8 days post-op and finally got to see the results. It’s not pretty yet, but it’s real. It was unnerving to get queasy taking off the bandages and to be grossed out by the blood/stitches. I was a little scared to be scared of my body, but after showering and getting to relax a few minutes out of the compression vest, it hit me that it’s over/finally beginning.
