Yay! I am SO excited about this series. I met Alexandra Ivy at Authors After Dark in August 2014 and the two of us hit it off. I was SUPER excited to meet her since she is one of the authors I adored when I first started reading and I even own all her books in print. I had been nervous coming up to her and saying hi. Only she came up to ME and said hi! Seriously. Such a humble, generous, and fantastic woman! Plus OMG she can write!
Anyway, on the Sunday of AAD we took a walk, ate some lunch, then went back to my room and ended up plotting out a dark, gritty, and very sexy paranormal romance series. Seriously. I’ve never plotted a series so quickly. It was as if our brains had been keeping this series in the back of our minds and once we talked BOOM, there it went. Each book actually has two stories with in so you get TWO HEAs in one! We are having a blast writing this series and I can’t wait for you to pick it up!
So what is the series about? Well imagine a world where shifters were in hiding, but were forced to come out. When a disease spread among the humans and almost wiped out their civilization, shifters came out of hiding to not only save the human race, but their own. In thanks for their sacrifice, humans threw the shifters in prisons on camps according to their species: Canine, Ursine, and Feline. The are forced to wear collars and are branded accordingly.
Its been 25 years since they were forced to live behind fences in fear. Now Alexandra Ivy and I get to take a closer look at these Alphas and other shifters and see how they can survive in captivity…and how they can find their freedom.
