I - Innocence

"Aparna! Come inside. Now!" Her mother's shrill voice rang in little Aparna's ears as she continued to play with Kuttan, her maid's three year old son. 
Seeing that her daughter had no intention of getting up anytime soon, her mother came outside to the ground and dragged her inside forcefully. She did not see Kuttan's tear filled eyes or her daughter's look of contempt for her.
"How many times do I have to tell you that you are not to make friends with children beneath your status! Here, take your Kids's tablet and go play some video game in your room." Saying that she was quickly dismissed by her overtly social status conscious Mom. 
Outside, Kuttan went crying to find his own mother. That afternoon two souls lost their innocence.
