Once Dev and Montsho find passion and pleasure in each other's arms, the story takes off like a rocket. They each have to overcome their personal insecurities to grasp the gift given to them by the Dreaming. It was actually through their flawed perceptions that I found what drew me to them. Montsho first, and then, at last, I became a fan of Dev. His refusal to back down from a promise despite hurting the feelings of one he loved turned the tides.
If you like your stories hot and frequent with an emotional sucker-punch at the end, I couldn't recommend a better shifter story than Dark Leopard Magic by Sapphire Phelan. This is a perfect getaway story that takes you far into the depths of a relationship as fragile as butterfly wings, but with the unspoken promise of a strength that would survive death itself.
