What I Learned From My Social Media Hiatus

I won't die without it. - When I first decided to take a break from social media to clear my head I didn't think I could do it. I was so used to it and I thought that somehow I would miss out on something. Crazy right? Lol. Well, I saw very quickly that life goes on without checking IG fifteen times a day. :)It's very important to monitor what I put in my head. - I'm a goal oriented person, meaning I work best when I'm working towards a specific goal. An important part of success is mindset. When you fill your head with garbage it clouds the image of success. I can't be productive watching ghetto brawls and complaining folks all day long. When I was on social media break I was in a better mood during the day and got more accomplished. No more social media beefs. - Right before the break I got into it on IG (follow me @reallyrashida) with a chick about a guy. Smh. I did it to prove a point but never again. Now that I'm building a brand I can't let that type of foolishness cross my pages.Make the personal moments that I share meaningful. - I don't share a whole lot of my personal life on my social media profiles. That's what this blog is for. :) So from now on, I'll bring my followers closer to me by letting them in on my BTS a little more. I'll still be very selective but I'll make sure the moments are intimate and mean something. The 4-Hour Work Week was right! - When I first finished the 4-Hour Work Week (a MUST READ for my busy business women out there. Get yours HERE.) I didn't think that it applied to me so I went back to my normal life. A week later I regretted that decision. Hence, the social media diet and this post. Lol.
