John Yes! I am so excited for this movie! So curious who actors and actresses will be?!

Interesting selections for actors and actresses. I think they made a good pick: James Franco. He is perfect for the role.

Karen Spisak Chris Cooper & Cherry Jones are great additions to the cast. Not real keen on James Franco. He'll have to step up his game big time. And he's not at all who I'd have pictured in the role.

Joanna Katz I can't wait!!!

Lois Alston Geat, can't wait.

I agree with this. I've liked Franco in many roles though, so maybe he'll get this right if properly guided.

Mike Hill I'm too nervous about Franco's performance.

Suzanne Cloud I hope it's better than Under the Dome... the TV rendition of that book was awful. Unwatchable!

Neutral Grey ^ Agreed with the comment above. Just watching the first episode of "Under the Dome," and you knew you were in for a complete butchering of the book. It was just bad.

message 13: by Barbara (new)

Barbara I didn't bother. I hate it when the TV/movie doesn't follow the book. Sorry, Mr. King.

message 14: by Karen (new)

Karen Spisak You know what tv/movie versions of Stephen King books are really, really great? Silver Bullet, I love that movie! Stand by Me, a true masterpiece. And the miniseries, It - the young & adult cast, the story, Pennywise, all just right!

message 15: by Frank (new)

Frank Phillips What a great book! My wife and I are reading it together now. I read it a year or so ago. Love it!!!! So glad a film is being made. I hope it's in (at least) two parts. It has the potential to be a fantastic motion picture.

Connie Wisniewski Just want you to know that I am your biggest, and probably your oldest fan(71). Have read almost every book and love your new plots. Thanks for adding so much to my lonely life.

message 17: by Barbara (new)

Barbara Just want to make a correction here....Mr. King, I love all your BOOKS. I've read everything you've written, including Danse Macabre. Some I've read more than once....I've read The Stand at least 5 times. I've read your wife's and your son's published works. And yes, Stand By Me was a wonderful book-to-screen transition. But I can't say that for all. I also loved The Langoliers. We recorded it and have watched it several times. Great stuff.
