Denial is a protective behavior. You wear it like a coat. The problem is that it holds the cold IN instead of protecting you from anything outside of you. If you truly remembered who you are on the inside, you would have no need for denial. Instead, you would proudly reveal all, letting all that you previously hid or shunned be revealed, discussed, and fully aired. Only in this way are hearts healed. Only in this way is light shined into the darkness. Only in this way do you realize that you need not deny any parts of yourself or others. All exists for the learning and growth—“the good, the bad, and the ugly” as the human sees it. As the spirit sees it, there are no parts to deny, simply to accept, allow, and surround with love.
