#049: Why Does Transformation Seem to Take So Long? Part 4 [Podcast]

Episode 49 Why Does Transformation Seem to Take So Long- Part 4

Today we continue to talk about what keeps people from effective transformation, causing us to think, “Why is this taking so long?” We uncover some things that prevent us from long term growth, change and effective transformation. In this episode, we discuss two key reasons; one having to do with ignorance, the other, stubbornness.

We are still ignorant of what is actually holding us back.

ignorance: we don’t know what we don’t know

We are stubborn in dealing with the issues of our life.

stubborn: we may know, but we defend ourselves or don’t want to deal with weak or broken areas

stubborn: having or showing dogged determination not to change one’s attitude or position on something, especially in spite of good arguments or reasons to do so, difficult to move, remove, or cure.

stubbornness = idolatry 1 Samuel 15:23

God resists the proud

(1 Peter 5:5 NKJVS) “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.”

Question: Of the areas that we addressed, what do you find to ring true in your observations?
