I feel like the idea of the ocean as home is a pretty alien idea. I think it’d be cool to see how Aquaman sees it through being taken away from it and longing for his return home. 

Plus the idea of him interacting with alien oceans and creatures seems more fun to me— that way he’s discovering at the same time as the reader is, but through his perspective that whales and giant seahorses are the norm.
