Craftcation Bound!
Today I am off to my annual trip to the Craftcation Conference! It is always a whirlwind of a good time, full of friends, tons of fun students, and more socializing than you really should pack into a long weekend. I usually come home equally energized and exhausted. Good times!
If you'll be there, perhaps I'll see you in one of my classes! I'm teaching a two-part Marianne Dress class on Friday and Saturday, along with a simple zipper pouch class, and a garment construction basics class where we will learn French seams, darts, gathering and whatever else time will allow.
I am asked often about getting into my classes, as they sell out very quickly because I'm limited to the number of sewing machine available, and my answer is this: come and wait! It is very common for students to not make it to a class and if you are on the waiting list then there's a chance of getting into the class! This has worked in the past, so don't be discouraged if you're not in the class you want yet.
In addition to the classes I'm teaching, I will be at the Thursday night opening dinner, where I will be signing copies of all four of my books, and I will be at the Friday night happy hour and Saturday night dance party. So if you're coming, I hope you will stop me and say hi! I look forward to seeing you there!
