Hey, my lovely sluts. My interview is finally here and you really, really, REALLY need to listen to it. Not because it features me and my work, but because starting at 1:58 or so, and ending around 6:45, Matt tells a personal story that happened to him recently. It’s kind of disturbing and horrifying but, at the end, Matt leaves you feeling nothing but hopeful. Personally going through a hard time right now myself, Matt’s story and what he says after really fuckin’ benched pressed my spirits like you wouldn’t believe. If you’re going through a shitty-ass time right now or you’re feeling lost or hopeless or scared, I really hope you’ll take a listen. Really… It changed the outlook of my entire day.
Another reason you should listen? Well, if you’ve ever wondered, “How awkward of a shithead is Calvero?” well now you can finally hear for yourself! And, as I’m sure you’ll all agree, the answer is “very.” I am very, very awkward. But Matt does a great job reading my poems as well as interviewing me because he didn’t even make it feel like an interview. So props and thanks so much to him. And I really hope you guys check it out and tell your friends because more people need to listen to the awesomeness that is Unknown Words with Matthew Anderson.
