No, Apion hasn't signed up for a degree course. Well, he has...sort of:

Today I was stunned and somewhat humbled to discover that 'Strategos: Born in the Borderlands' has been included in a university historical fiction syllabus focusing on action and adventure in the middle ages.

And the fact that Bernard Cornwell was the other name on the list made my day :)
