#BeWoW: Twubs for Twitter

Anyone heard of Twubs? I didn’t just make it up to be funny even though it sounds so much fun! For #BeWoW Wednesday I thought let’s all be wow on Twitter and get the hang of hashtags.

I am on a mission this year to find interesting hashtags to follow on Twitter. I already have a page full of pretty common hashtags like #art #doodle #creative #everyday etc. but then I discovered Twubs and boy are there some more specific ones too. # overload.

First of all I searched for general topics that suit my brand: Art, Doodle, Poetry, Sketch, Funny. (The poems not me ;))

There are pages and pages for the more general ones so I got choosy. Then I checked them out on Twitter and some were not related or hadn’t been used in ages. So these few I’m sharing are hopefully spot on relevant. Each week I’ll find some new ones to share.

Something interesting about the arty tweets. Artists use a bunch of hashtags at once and never seem to put #art in there. Even for a painting they would use #painting Interesting!
