#amwriting: Finding Katie

I haven’t kept Katie company in a while, as I’ve been busy with poems, and my other “project”, which I’m not telling about just yet
Woot, woot! 5,500 words written today! The word count is now at 57, 816 … that’s up from 51,437 on my last post, and most of that is from today! Okay, so without further ado, here is today’s sneak peek … 
“I pause at the base of the stairs and look up toward the second landing. It seems awfully high and far. I gulp, take a breath, and put my foot on the first riser.”
