Fredonia Alumnus Mark Anthony Neal Returns to Campus to Discuss Black Social Protest on March 10th

The discussion, sponsored by the Office of the President, is slated for Tuesday, March 10 at 7 p.m. in McEwen Hall Room 209. The event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be provided.
Dr. Neal is the founding director of the Center for Arts, Digital Culture and Entrepreneurship (CADCE) at Duke University where he offers courses on Black Masculinity, Popular Culture and Digital Humanities. He is the author of several books including the recent, Looking for Leroy: Illegible Black Masculinities (NYU Press). The 10th anniversary edition of Neal’s New Black Man was published in February.
In addition, Neal is co-editor of That's the Joint: The Hip-Hop Studies Reader (Routledge), now in its second edition. Neal also hosts the video webcast Left of Black , which is produced in collaboration with the John Hope Franklin Center at Duke. He can be followed on Twitter at @NewBlackMan.
