Godo Stoyke Ha! Well said.

Elena Sands I agree completely. I just finished Rocannon's World, which is a good example of a blend of science fiction and what I would consider high fantasy. I think of Mogien and his crossed swords walking through tapestry strewn castles and then of Rocannon and the ansible. It's a nice contrast. (Oh, what a kiss-ass I am, but it's all true ;-)
I don't think any writer anywhere should pretend to superiority or snobbery. They should just relax and realize they'll never be Kurt Vonnegut. ;-)

Edward West "It was like watching a man falling from a high wire while he shouts to the audience, “Are they going say I’m a tight-rope walker?”

Awesome.
