"I love to dance, he doesn’t. He said when he moves on the floor that it looks more like..."
I love to dance, he doesn’t. He said when he moves on the floor that it looks more like flopping than swaying, but I don’t care about how sloppy his limbs move along side with mine, I will still dance with him until my legs no longer want to move.
I love watching films, he doesn’t. He tells me that he would rather hear about how much each character in a film has impacted or inspirited my life, that’s all he needs to know that it’s a good piece of cinema. I don’t care if he doesn’t pay attention to every detail or can recite each line like I can, just being near him when my favorite film is on screen is enough to know that he is interested.
I love to paint, he doesn’t. He tells me that there is not one creative bone in his body, but without needing to see his attempts on a blank sheet of paper, I know that he’s wrong. His whole essence gives off creativity and for as long as I can remember, he’s always been my muse.
I love to talk, he doesn’t. It’s not that he doesn’t like filling up space with words, he tells me, it’s just he would rather give it all to me. He says he could listen to me for hours, hear the excitement in my voice when I’m telling him about something that I saw in my day that may be simple to him, but meant the world to me. He said he just wants to listen, and when it’s his time, he will respond. He tells me never to think he isn’t paying attention or isn’t interested, it’s just he’s always waiting for my next story and when to kiss me when my lips stop moving.
