Dropping the Defenses

Why do you become defensive?  For you believe there is something to protect.  This implies a separation between a perceived individual self and another.  When you can shed all thoughts and belief systems of the ego, which knows only separation, then there is nothing to defend, no reason to become defensive.  There is only peace.  Judgment disappears, along with anger, fear, and all of the other less than optimal results of feeling separated and alone.

There is nothing to battle, nothing to fight, and no need to feel defensive.  There is nothing to win and nothing to lose from the perspective of the soul, where all is one.  If you disagree with this, then you are thinking like a human, which is quite understandable for those who have not truly made a re-acquaintance with the soul.  Set that re-acquaintance as an intention, why don’t you, if you are tired of defending an illusion.
