“Take a lover who looks at you like maybe you are magic.” –Frida Kahlo
He told her she was pure magic
and thought his words would melt
her heart. But she learned long ago
that magic is nothing more than
an illusion, that what you think you see
and what you are truly seeing are not the same
things. So he never understood that
instead of mending the pieces of her
breaking heart, his words were the start of
the unravelling of her all over again.
She knew that in the end shed be the
only one left on stage, a lone participant
left trembling like a summer leaf
before its consumed by the eternal flame of
her soul as it hurtles through space,
through the trap door of a love that doesnt
exist anymore. Thats why she stopped
believing in magic and why she never will.
Peace & Love,
