I don't get it why do you avoid questions about your religion? I mean your artistry and emotion and actions collide with it? Why not just get out of a religion that condemns you instead of trying to make it something it's not or avoiding it...

I avoid it because honestly, it’s tiring the amount of intolerance or cruel messages that I get for being honest. It’s exhausting and it’s not worth it. The way I feel about my religion is intensely personal and it’s mine and other people don’t get to come into my space and try to corrupt it with their preaching or their ignorance. I think a lot of my Muslim followers forget that I’m human as well as Muslim and that’s sad for them. It’s sad that they think it’s acceptable for them to talk to people like that.
