Hello Louie, great to see you here as well as on Twitter and thanks again for the feature on your blog. The current plan is to switch to paperback only as the UK hardback market is proving so challenging for debut writers, which I am told is much to do with Waterstones's buying strategies etc and less to do with the market and readership. So that means that the cover for Circles of Stone will take the new, paperback livery. I have mixed feelings about that as I think both covers have their strengths: I loved the more classic imagery of the hardback but I can see that the paperback cover is likely to be more impactful, especially among the younger readership. Anyway, whatever the cover I am very excited about the second book and I very much hope you enjoy it! I am sure we can sort you out with an ARC of Circles of Stone - I'll send a note to the publicity team now! Best wishes, Ian
Hi Ian, Thats very kind of you. I have noticed this happening with many books, which is a shame but can understand it is clearly a very tough & competitive market. Goldsboro books sold out of your signed HC, maybe they would do an exclusive as I'm sure the customers who purchased those would love a HC to match, (though I have no idea how that works.) Personally I'm always happy to pay a bit extra but the content is certainly the most important part of the book & you are clearly very passionate about what you have planned for 'The Mirror Chronicles.' audiobooks are very popular at the moment? I tend to read out loud if on my own, so lately I've been recording, I don't have a great voice but I thought it may be an idea to read a chapter or 2 from books that are not in the limelight & post on my blog to give people an intro. Though I would clearly need to get permissions first.Regards, Louie
Hi Louie, yes it was great about Goldsboro! I'm not sure what will happen with them and book two, but I'm sure all will become clear in the next 2-3 months. I like to read out loud too and I'm a big fan of audiobooks. I think The Bell Between Worlds will only be released as an audiobook if it develops a large readership, but as that is still very much what we are hoping for as the trilogy is released, hopefully there will be an audio edition before too long! If you would like to read an extract of The Mirror Chronicles, which sounds like a great idea, there is a permission form here:http://corporate.harpercollins.co.uk/...
Best of luck with the blog!

I have mentioned you on a Fantasy Blog http://fantasybooks.me.uk I'm working on, please feel free to take a look. Id also be very happy to read an ARC for an honest review, I will of course be purchasing the HC still though.
All the best
