Back In Just A Moment . . .
It's Thursday evening, and I'm sitting in my room in a Microtel near BWI, sipping iced coffee (which is just regular old yucky coffee brewed with the in-room coffee pot, which I then poured over ice from the vending machine) and generally trying to make sure I have everything together for tomorrow.
I have to catch a 6 am train to New York, so — as I usually do — I'm staying near the train station the night before. I do this, I tell myself, to ensure that I don't run into any of those odd problems that can snarl traffic in the DC area — fire, accident, Godzilla attack — which might cause me to miss my train. But really, it's more so I don't have to get up quite as early. So far, it's worked every time.
What's going on in New York? I'm interviewing yet Another Amazing Person (this project, as you can imagine, is full of them) followed by a late lunch with my pal Mark, the head librarian at the New York Society Library (who is also an Amazing Person, I might add) before heading back to Maryland. It's a quick up and back in a day . . . but I'll tell you more about when I get back. Stay tuned.
In the meantime, here's a little something to keep you entertained. (And I love that I can watch stuff like this all day and call it work.) "Hey Charlie! I got a weirdo!"
