Oh oh, wanna get quirky? Start looking at multiclassing. Fighters are incredible classes to take for 1 or 2 levels then ditch, rogues are a super useful half-class, and sorc/wizard is *interesting*. I like this edition a lot. Still need to actually play it

I like it a lot, too, so far! Though I find having to choose between feats and ability score upgrades a little annoying. I appreciate that the devs are trying to streamline the game (earlier versions are incredibly overwhelming to new players), but I hate having to make choices like that—between passive improvements to everything I do (which are usually the mechanically optimal choice) and new abilities/options (which are usually much more fun). Capping abilities at 20 is great, though, becuase you can ‘max out’ something and be able to move along to something else, unlike in 3e, where Wizards have to bump Intelligence every time they can.
