And we have a plot!

It took me a couple of days, and all my usual tricks plus a new one, but I think I have the plot hammered out for the next Hollows book.  The road trip book will remain my favorite, but I can already tell that this one, which won't see the light of day until 2013, is going to be right up there with my personal favorites.  It's fairly evenly divided between reality and the ever-after, which is kind of cool.

So . . . I've got my character sheet all filled out so I can see at a glance the action is well spaced and no character just pops on for a chapter and vanishes for the rest of the book.  I've got a fairly equal spread of gender (which is hard for me.  I like guy characters) No new characters in this one, which is nice.  My page-per-chapter breakdowns are done, and I know where I'm going.

Only thing is, I have to rewrite the end of the previous book, but just a little.  Good thing I've not turned it in yet. -grin-

If you are curious about my ever-evolving plotting techniques, click on How Kim Outlines to see last year's rough draft from idea to rough draft.  You'll have to start at the last post and work your way forward.  This is the development of the book that I'm going to turn it in a few months, and as you can see, I'm still not quite done with it yet.  Writing is a slow process, eh?

Tally Song I can't even wait for your books to come out. You always have to be purposely forgotten about so I don't drive myself over the edge of impatience. lol

That was SO fun to see the plot grid. I didn't realize how much planning and forethought it takes to keep everything and everyone straight. I took for granted that you are a genius who just knows how to make a book flow perfectly. This is far and away my favorite series and this post made me a little giddy for the next book. Can't WAIT!
