Introducing Myles and the Monster Outside

Have you ever been on a never-ending car drive, and as the minutes turn to hours turn to days ... you start to see things outside the window. Things that no one else can see, of course.

Scarecrows waving goodbye?

Birds spelling the word "beware" as they fly past in formation?

Monsters striding along the highway?

If you love YA horror stories, I think you'll enjoy my new book in the Weird Stories Gone Wrong Series, following Jake and the Giant Hand . Introducing Myles and the Monster Outside, a paranormal road trip horror story for kids 9-12. Accompanied by 6 creepy and adorable illustrations by Shawna Daigle, I hope you check it out!

Please request an ARC for review from my publisher, Dundurn Press.

Here's more information, and a first peek at the fantastic cover! http://phdowding.blogspot.ca/2015/01/...

Philippa Dowding thanks Monica, I will definitely await your response with enthusiasm! It's a good, creepy little story, a lot of fun to write and such an interesting monster. Who hasn't been that kid in the back seat, seeing things outside the window?

Bobbi Miller Ooo! This sounds GOOD!

Philippa Dowding thanks Bobbi! I hope you like it! I'm struggling with placing the images today, can't reveal anything too soon. Seems to be a bit of an art, getting the image in exactly the right spot in the text. A new skill!

Philippa Dowding And Monica, birds ARE terrifying (the story has chickens).

Philippa Dowding there are crows too. And no, image placement is up to the art department, but they are giving me a chance to have my say (which is nice).
