Find time to write

mreutherebook012115We only have so much time in this life. For independent authors, time may seem to be the greatest enemy. After all, there are only so many hours in a day to write, let alone market our work. If you’re juggling a full-time or even a part-time job, you know how hard it can be to find those precious minutes in a day to be an author. It’s important to realize that time is valuable.

How bad do you want to be a writer? Do you want to be successful with your writing? If so,consider those activities in your day you can eliminate to find more time to write. Turn off the television. Do you really need to hang out in front of the boob tube for an hour or so every morning drinking coffee? What about some of those other precious moments you waste every day in unnecessary diversions. Don’t get me wrong, relaxation and some mindless activities are good. We all need to unwind.

But relaxation can become procrastination. If you’re engaged in some mindless activity and think that perhaps you should instead be writing, that’s a pretty good indication that you’re frittering away precious time. Find the time to write. Don’t let it slip away. After all, time is something you can never regain.
