A reader records...
his impressions of the Kreeft/Spencer debate on Islam and noodles the question of whether Islam is "inherently violent".
Like me, he thinks it's not (or else we would be hearing of billion acts of violence). But like me, he appears to think that the question about "inherent" violence is pretty dumb. Whether or not Islam is "inherently" violent, it sure is violent a lot. And, lacking a magisterium, if a whole bunch of Muslims decide the Islam is a justification for violence, then violent Islam is.
Anyway, an interesting essay.
