Crossed Quills--the paperback cover may be my favourite of all my Regencies.
Wynn Selworth has supported his mother and sister by writing Gothic romances under a pseudonym. When he inherits a viscountcy from a distant relative, he's eager to make his mark in the House of Lords. But somehow every attempt to write speech about the sad plight of chimneysweeps sounds like--a Gothic romance. He turns for help to the mysterious Radical journalist known as "Prometheus." What he doesn't know is that the original Prometheus died and his daughter, Pippa, now writes under his name. And she's not about to let the secret out because it could ruin her family, just as Wynn would be a laughingstock if the world found out he was "Valentine Dred."
