A Question for Readers: How do I Sweeten the Pot?
So here's the deal: Blood Diva is a sexy, dark, fun and sometimes funny read. If you don't believe the reviews here, go check out the ones on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Blood-Diva-VM-G...) or on the blog: Opera Candy -- http://www.operacandy.com/book-review... or at Persephone Magazine http://persephonemagazine.com/2014/10....
Yet, none of you are reading it. More than 500 of you have it on "want to" read. What's stopping you?
For the record, I've run a couple of 99 cent sales, and yes sales went up, but those also involved paid promos and I didn't make back what I spent. I'm not going to pay for a promo to give away the book. I can't afford that. But here's the thing, if the $3.99 price tag for the ebook is too much for you to spend for a 347 page novel with an over 4-star average rating, then I will send you a freebee in exchange for an honest review -- as long as you have a reviewing track record and a clear interest in reading Blood Diva. (Just message me on Goodreads or check out offer details and contact info at my other blog: http://www.blooddiva.com/reviewer-cop...
I even have a couple of paperbacks I could let go of if you are the US.
Sure, of course I'd love it if you sacrificed one Starbucks latte and bought the ebook or 3 lattes for the paperback (fewer calories and better for your teeth), but mostly I would just like you to give this novel a chance. It might surprise you.
